New Mexico has no shortage of beautiful places and its mountains are proof of that. In fact, there are some mountains where you’ll feel like you’re on top of the world.
One such place is the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, which are located in New Mexico’s far north region and expand into Colorado.
In fact, Taos Ski Valley is located here. The village and resort are known for having slopes that are perfect for winter activities like skiing and snowboarding.
If you really want to feel like you’re on top of the world, though, try a hike up Wheeler Peak. This is New Mexico’s highest peak and will give you some spectacular views of the land.
The trail can be done in half a day and measures almost 8 miles long, making this a nice challenge for most hikers. You can find details about the trail on alltrails.com.
So, are you ready to see what the world looks like from here?
