Outside of the small city of Nageezi, New Mexico, the Lybrook Fossil Area, also known as the Lybrook Badlands, is an amazing location dotted with incredible features. The Lybrook Fossil Area Loop is a 2.8-mile loop through the area that provides views of rock formations such as Hoodoos far away from crowds. Before setting out, be sure to prepare for warmer temperatures and rugged terrain.
The Lybrook Fossil Area hike is a great way to view rock formations away from crowds, leaving plenty of time for photography and viewing. Remember that there are no facilities here and that you must pack in what you pack out in order to keep this special area pristine.
