There's no trail in the state quite like La Luz Trail #137. Starting at the base of the mountain among the desert landscape, hikers will ascend into a lush alpine forest.
The temperature difference between the start of the trail and the top is quite noticeable. You'll certainly enjoy the cooler air up at the trail's summit, especially after this challenging hike!
It will take several hours but when you get to the top, you'll be treated to breathtaking views! Just make sure you give yourself enough time if you hike this trail in its entirety. It takes an average of eight hours to go up the mountain and back.
