It’s hard to think of anything better after a long day than a good meal paired with a good drink. But, the owners of the Spotted Dog Brewery have found a way to make it even better. At the Spotted Dog Brewery, you can bring your dog to the lovely patio so you can enjoy their company as you unwind and enjoy a delicious burger and beer.
Jerry Grandle spent 15 years perfecting his beer recipes before he decided to open the Spotted Dog Brewery with his wife. Jerry and Susan decided to name the brewery after their bluetick hound, who is named Ryleigh, and the rest is history.
The brewery serves nine of its beers year-round, and always has a handful of seasonal beers, such as Irish Red Ale, Doppelbock, or Steam Beer. It also features a premium Barrel Aged Wee Heavy Beer that's 10.2% ABV for the adventurous beer drinkers.
The food is also just incredible. With starters such as garlic herb fries and shrimp beggar's purses, you'll need to make sure you leave room for your main course.
Some crowd favorites are the Green Chile Philly, which features hatch green chile and seared shaved beef, and the Dog Platter. The Dog Platter is The Spotted Dog's seasonal Nosh Board where you can sample all kinds of sausages, pickled vegetables, and cheeses.
As full as you may be, you can't skip dessert here. The Irish Ale Chocolate Cheesecake features a salted pretzel crust and a caramel sauce, and simply can't be missed.
