What are some of the best waterfalls in New Mexico?  

We bet you didn’t realize there are so many awesome waterfalls in New Mexico! Turns out, New Mexico is a pretty fun place filled to the brim with all sorts of natural wonders, including hot springs, rivers, lakes, and waterfalls. Some of the most amazing waterfalls in New Mexico include incredible cascades like Nambe Falls, which consists of 100-foot-tall upper falls and 75-foot-tall lower falls. It’s nestled in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and is a sight to behold. Sitting Bull Falls is another great one; it’s got a whole recreational area built up around it, and it’s worth a visit with the kids if you get a chance. Finally, last but not least (and this list is nowhere near exhaustive), Jemez Falls is a great one. It’s 70 feet tall, quite healthy, and it’s perfect for anyone who enjoys being lost in nature. Then, go check out the Jemez Falls Trail, which is under a mile long (0.7 miles), super easy, and truly epic. Jemez Falls is one of the waterfalls you’ll hear a lot about if you ask the locals. Then, head to the Bridal Veil Falls and Grand View Trail, which is tougher and longer at just under eight miles long but it features amazing waterfalls (at least two of them), riparian wildlife, trestle ruins, and more. It’s not just about the falls in that case! Finally, check out the Upper Falls Trail at Bandelier National Monuments. It’s 2.9 miles in length and easy; along the way you’ll experience epic views and a truly lovely waterfall finish.
