Do you ever feel the need to get away from it all? New Mexico is full of beautiful places to stay, but this one mountain town in the Lincoln National Forest is the perfect mix of quirky small town features and fun outdoor activities. If you want to get out of the city for awhile and go somewhere that will make you feel at home, there’s no better place than this small New Mexico mountain town.
Being at such a high elevation, the winter months experience a lot of snow so snowmobiling, snowshoeing, or skiing at the beautiful Ski Cloudcroft are wildly popular activities.
If you're looking for something more laid back, the main strip of Cloudcroft features many historic shops and restaurants. Make sure to visit the Burro Street Exchange where you can find shops, restaurants, and information on Cloudcroft all in one place.
Cloudcroft is located in the southern part of the Lincoln National Forest.
Have you ever stayed in Cloudcroft? What did you think? Let us know in the comments, and make sure to share your photos from your visit to the picturesque town in our New Mexico Nature Lovers Facebook group, or tag us on Instagram at #onlyinnewmexico for a chance to see your photos featured.
