This extremely short hike won’t take you too long, but the reward at the end is a relaxing way to soothe your stress while being out in mother nature. These amazing black rock hot springs in Taos are complete with the perfect view of the Rio Grande, as they’re set beside them. You might not be alone, as this little hot springs trail tends to be a popular spot when it’s nice outside, but they’re perfect pools to hang out in regardless. Let’s head on over to the Rio Grande and take a dip! These New Mexico hot springs are almost too good to be true.

Welcome to Black Rock Hot Springs! A short, 0.3-mile hike will lead you down to these amazing natural hot springs along the Rio Grande.

Finding the hot springs can be a bit tricky. Black Rock Hot Springs are located just north of Taos, and west of Arroyo Hondo. Once you find the John Dunn Bridge that goes over the Rio Grande, find the switchback on the left and park there.

You'll find the short trail to the hot springs near the switchback. It might only be a short, 10-minute hike down, but it is quite rocky, so walk with caution.
