The Albuquerque Downtown Growers’ Market is a farmers’ market unlike any you have been to before. With the mission of supporting local agriculture and small businesses, the Downtown Growers’ Market sets up in historic Robinson Park every Saturday morning April through November. The market opens at 8am, so be sure to get there early so you can get the freshest bread and other baked goods you have ever had.
The Downtown Growers' Market was established in 1996 and features more than 70 New Mexican growers and more than 200 local vendors every year!
While we absolutely love the fresh vegetables and farm products you can find here as you roam the stands, you can't miss some of the baked goods that are offered by New Mexico's small businesses.
Bakeries like Fat City Eats, Treats & Sweets serve New Mexico inspired savory danishes, cookies, and other sweets, while the Ferm Brinery & Bakehouse has some of the best sourdough bread you've ever had.
Some of our other favorite bake shops are the Sugabom, Ihatov Bakery, and Las Golondrinas Pie Company, where you can choose from the best sweet and savory pies around.
There's nothing quite like waking up early in the morning to go get your fresh-baked bread and pastries. And with desserts like these, you can't forget to pick one up for later in the day.
OF course, if you are trying to round out your shopping haul with some fresh and locally grown vegetables, there is no better place to do that than the Downtown Growers' Market.
You Can Visit the Downtown Growers’ Market official website to see a full list of vendors and learn more about the market, and after you visit, be sure to let us know which vendor was your favorite!
