Fall is drawing near and that can only mean one thing: it’s time to enjoy all the seasonal activities that New Jersey has to offer. Look no further than Von Thun’s Farm, which offers visitors countless ways to experience the joys of autumn. If you consider massive corn mazes, fresh apple cider donuts, and farm markets among your favorite fall activities, you’re in for a real treat. September 21st marks the first weekend of the annual Fall Festival Weekends season so mark your calendar! Here’s more on the seasonal fun that can be expected from your visit to Von Thun’s Farm.
Please Note: Von Thun’s Farm has two locations in New Jersey: one in South Brunswick in Middlesex County and the other in Warren County. The photos below have been taken at their South Brunswick location, but rest assured that most of the same exciting activities and attractions are offered at both farms!
College football and corn mazes are two sure-fire signs of autumn and they come together in the most incredible way this year at Von Thun's Farm. This year's corn maze theme honors the 150th Anniversary of College Football.
As you may know, this great American tradition began right here in New Jersey with Rutgers and Princeton Universities in 1869. Plus, the South Brunswick location is less than 10 miles from both universities!
The intricate maze design incorporates 6 acres of corn and all sorts of Princeton and Rutgers themed decor. The maze will take approximately 45 minutes to complete, and visitors will love meandering through the picturesque field.
If you feel stuck, there will be plenty of clues to guide you along the way. Hint: brushing up on your college football trivia will prove to be helpful!
Note that the two photos above were taken from a previous year's corn maze. Prepare to see even more incredible football paraphernalia this season!
Of course, the maze is just the beginning of all that the farm has to offer. This five-generation working farm welcomes visitors from near and far to engage in the landscape in the most unique ways.
The Fall Festival Weekends will officially begin on September 21st, 2019. Families will love the chance to pick out a pumpkin, try their hand at the giant maze, and enjoy over 35 activities.
Other activities include a hayride to a pumpkin patch, mini golf, a moon bounce, and even corn cannons with targets set up in the middle of the fields.
So whether it’s your first visit to Von Thun’s Farm or you’ve been going for years, you’ll find that this season’s offerings are the best yet. The Fall Festival Weekends take place on the weekends of September 21st-22nd through November 2nd-3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Farm Market, apple orchard, pumpkin patch, and corn maze will also be open during the weekdays.
