If you follow Only In New Jersey, you may already know that I recently began writing a spotlight series. I’ll be covering a wide variety of delightful Garden State towns, all requested or recommended by readers. We’ve got so many cities and towns to love, all of which make wonderful day trip destinations. Each locale featured will be a prime destination for foodies, with fun activities to enjoy in addition to a good meal. Our series started with Madison, New Jersey and is continuing with Mount Holly.

First, a few fun facts. Mount Holly is the seat of Burlington County. It was first settled by Europeans in 1677 and now has a population of about 10,000 residents. The Battle of Iron Works Hill was fought here in 1776 and that battle is reenacted each December. Check it out, and visit one (or more) of the five fantastic restaurants below.
