In New Jersey, the hiking season lasts pretty much all year long. We have beautiful weather for much of the year and even our winters aren’t too, too bad! However, summertime is when most of us prefer to get out and about, and we’ve found a great hidden gem park where you can spend your summer days enjoying the sun and shade.

Hedden Park might as well be called Hidden Park because this underrated gem is often so empty that you'll feel like you've got the whole place to yourself.

To hike around the park and see the waterfalls, you'll take a 3.3-mile loop. It's short enough that it only takes just over an hour — but plan extra time because you're going to want to relax and take in all of the scenery.
