This roughly 19-mile drive through rural Warren County in the northwestern part of the state travels from Greenwich Township to Hackettstown – with some great surprises along the way. This is an area first settled by the Lenni Lenape Indians, and the byway traces their hunting and fishing grounds, which would later become trade routes for European settlers and later a major agricultural and trade corridor. Today, the byway is a beautiful way to see remnants of New Jersey’s past, along with some gorgeous scenery.
