New Jersey is the Roswell of the East Coast. In 2019, there were 183 reported UFO sightings over the Garden State! Could it be aliens? Most turn out to be satellites or drones but about 5% of sightings are still unexplained. On September 14, 2020, thousands saw what appeared to be a flying saucer in the sky along with strange lights.

This sighting occurred along Route 21 near Passaic. Traffic stopped as people ran from their cars with cameras. Hundreds of videos have racked up millions of views in the last 24 hours and some witnesses report seeing a body come down from the unidentified flying object. There are multiple angles on video and I have reviewed over a dozen. Below is a short clip uploaded by Rapper Newz:

Today's Goodyear blimps are not like those of yesteryear. They have LED displays, which can look strange on a cloudy day or in the evening. Most witnesses are satisfied with that explanation but some are still sure that a blimp isn't what they saw.

While this incident was a blimp, we've had many mysterious sightings and a few hoaxes over the years.

Reported sightings from last year alone include strange lights, metallic objects, hovering orbs, discs, and even actual alien footage captured by security cameras...allegedly. Many reports came from Norwood, Colts Neck, Toms River, and Medford.

In 2009, a major UFO hoax was perpetrated in Morris County. Two men were conducting a "social experiment" to make a point about how gullible humans can be. They attached red flare lights to large helium balloons and sent them into the night sky. Local police and Morristown Airport employees were alerted of a possible hazard to airplanes. The objects could not be detected by radar. Panic ensued and the story was covered by major networks. The two men came forward with proof of what they had done and were given fines, among other penalties.

If you’re still not sure that last night’s sighting was a blimp, Goodyear confirmed the blimp was flying in the area last night. We also know from the photos below that the LED lights were blue, just like the lights in the videos.
