Summer Isn't Over Yet, Here's Where To Swim In New Jersey After Labor Day
Swimming is a popular summer activity – but summer doesn’t end on Labor Day! Sure, many of New Jersey’s lakes and ocean beaches close for the season – but not all. You’ll enjoy wonderful weather, less traffic, and likely less crowds if you visit any of the following swimming spots post-Labor Day. The forecast predicts temperatures in the mid-70s to low-80s across the Garden State, both this weekend and next and the water’s still nice and warm! While some beaches are having rip current issues due to Hurricane Dorian this Saturday, we’ve got a few weeks of September left. Always check with the township or beach patrol office before you go.
Do you know of any other New Jersey beaches with lifeguards throughout September? You can also enjoy Six Flags Hurricane Harbor until 9/8, without worrying about rip currents. Other water parks are having bark in the park events this weekend where dogs are welcome, like Runaway Rapids in Keansburg. We’ve also got amazing indoor water parks open all year…Check out Sahara Sam’s Oasis in West Berlin.n
