Tabernacle, New Jersey is a small Pine Barrens town that’s off the beaten path from just about anywhere. Tucked away in this tiny town, though, you’ll find one of the state’s best deli counters. Hop in the car and make the trip to Nixon’s General Store — you won’t regret it!
For well over 100 years, Nixon's General Store has been serving the community of Tabernacle, New Jersey.
From the beginning, this town store has been a gathering place just as much as it's been the place to go to pick up essentials in a fairly isolated Pinelands town!
Today, Nixon's looks like any ordinary small town general store, but locals and those who travel through Burlington County know that it's hiding one of the best delis in the Garden State.
Nixon's even added Fat Sandwiches (a New Brunswick delicacy) to their menu, so you can enjoy the outrageous creations without having to leave South Jersey.
