There’s nothing like a hot cup of coffee to start your day off right. In the wintertime, it’s especially nice, though it’s a treat (and to many a necessity) all year round. New Jersey is home to dozens of terrific national (and international) chains but you know I love keeping it local. I recently came across a smaller business that deserves a shout out – this coffeehouse is fun, fresh, and full of flavorful java. It’s steadily growing across the state (and country) and I absolutely understand why.
Rock N' Joe got its start in 1993. Its first store opened right here in the Garden State.
They were even given the Golden Cup award by the Specialty Coffee Association of America! There's a sizable selection, including monthly and seasonal flavors, staples like cafe au lait and espresso, and artisan delights available hot, iced, or frozen. Artisinal items include Coco-Mocha, Cara-Mallow, and Raspberry Cookie Crumble. You can customize any coffee by adding syrup, espresso shots, and flavors like cookie dough, peppermint, strawberry and Irish Cream - there are plenty of options to choose from.
The menu does vary a bit by location but you'll always find scrumptious sandwiches...
