We love pizza here in New Jersey, and it seems like a new high-end pizzeria is opening in my town every other month. That makes it a challenge for a new pizzeria to stand out when it opens – but one unique retro pizzeria in New Jersey has taken on the challenge with gusto. Coniglio’s Old Fashioned in Morristown was opened in early 2023 by Nino Coniglio, who you might recognize from his star appearance on the cooking competition “Chopped” – this pizza master not only competed, but won the title of Chopped Champion! And after one bite of his pizzas, it’s not hard to see why. But there’s so much more to Coniglio’s than just great pizza. This might be the most unique pizzeria in New Jersey, with a retro-chic atmosphere, fresh-baked goodies, and an old-school soda fountain that might make this grandpa’s favorite new restaurant!
