This Pop Up Public Market Is Bringing Food And Fun To The Garden State
We all know that New Jersey is the “Diner Capital of America” but did you also know that we’re the “Mall Capital of America?” While an unofficial title, we’ve got tons to back it up. There are more malls per square mile than any other state and soon, (I hope) we’ll be home to the largest mall in the country. While the “American Dream” has been a bit of a running joke, the Garden State Plaza already exists and it has a lot going on. One of the most lucrative malls in the country, it has some great shops and…
Running until the end of June, the pop-up public market features a variety of unique vendors serving up both food and artisanal goods. Curated to ensure the highest quality, you’ll find an oddities booth, brownie bar, and more. The market is open from noon until 8 p.m., Thursday-Saturday. While the shopping is nice, I’m all about the food!
Located across from the concierge in a 20,000 square foot event space, enjoy international cuisines from Tojo’s Kitchen (Japanese fusion), Eema’s Cuisine (Hawaiian), Yani’s Bake House (dessert), Jerk Shack Grill (Jamaican), and Hold My Knots (American – garlic knot sliders!). If you’ve never had Hawaiian food before, this is your chance! Chow down on Spam Musubi, Malasadas, and more.
It’s not just food and shopping…there’s fun to be had. Garden State Public Market hosts a variety of events and classes. There will be a silent disco on June 16th (a dance party where you control the sound!), free trivia nights (with prizes and wine/beer!) each Thursday, and free comedy shows each Friday. Classes include trapeze yoga, a free fitness bootcamp, and Fit4Mom. You can learn more about the Garden State Public Market (located in Paramus, New Jersey) by clicking here.
