Is it just me or are steaks getting smaller? Years ago, you could find a good 24 oz. (or more) prime rib at a sizable selection of New Jersey restaurants. For this article, I had to hunt the menus of dozens of restaurants and steakhouses in the Garden State. I’m not saying smaller steaks are a bad thing but if you think bigger is better, you’re in luck. I found several spots worthy of writing about but one stood out.
Four Winds Restaurant is a charming dining spot in Manasquan. They're open daily for lunch and dinner, with the bar open until midnight.
The prime rib is the star of the show. You can go for the 20 oz. or opt for something larger...32 ounces of perfection. And it's not just big, it's fantastic! Four Winds only uses Sterling Silver Premium Beef - the top 12% of beef available.
It's hand-selected with a strict aging requirement of 21 days. If you'd like, it can be grilled upon request. Other steak options include filet mignon and choice New York sirloin.
But they've got more than just steak. There are burgers, including veggie burgers, all sorts of sandwiches, fish tacos, fried oysters, buffalo wings, shrimp parmigiana, salads, and more. There's something for everyone.
Try to score a seat by the fireplace if you can! Sound good? If so, you’ll want to add this spot to your dining bucket list. Start with the steak, though we think you’ll be coming back for more.
