The Sparta Classic Diner, a quintessential NJ eatery well off the beaten path, shuttered due to a fire in 2022 and no one was sure if it would open its doors again – but in late 2023, the diner returned to its former glory thanks to a heroic effort by its owners. And there have been a few new twists along the way!

But that all nearly came to a fiery end in 2022, when a damaging fire nearly gutted the restaurant, leading to an indefinite closure.

But behind the scenes, the ownership was tirelessly working on a massive renovation - doing much of the heavy work themselves rather than turning their beloved diner over to anyone else.
