If you’re looking for delicious Jersey Shore BBQ, head to Somers Point and dine at Back Bay BBQ. It’s a remote hidden gem, and worth the drive from just about anywhere in the Garden State.
Back Bay BBQ is located in the middle of nowhere, somehow close to the Jersey Shore, but also in its own little world.
Despite its remote location, this Jersey Shore BBQ joint always draws a crowd. Locals know it's the best place for smoked meat, ribs, chicken, and more!
Don't forget to order a few sides! Mac and cheese, beans, coleslaw, and cornbread all go great with whatever you choose to order.
They even have a pastrami sandwich that will blow your tastebuds away. It's a unique take on a meat that's not often found at BBQ joints, and it's so worth trying!
Their sandwiches are the perfect mid-day treat, and whether you pair one with onion rings, fries, or potato salad, you'll feel like you're in hog heaven.
If you’d like to dine at Back Bay BBQ, be prepared for a bit of a road trip! While the address is technically in Somers Point, some people consider it Egg Harbor. You’ll find it on Route 152, heading from Somers Point to Longport, after the boat yard. It really is on its own little island, right on the water. To see their menu and check up on current hours, visit the Back Bay BBQ website or this New Jersey BBQ restaurant’s Facebook page.
