I’m all about outdoor adventure and I just can’t wait until the weather warms up…it’s on its way! But some days are too hot, or too cold, or too rainy to go out and have fun. That doesn’t mean you have to stay in. You might head to one of our many malls, maybe watch a movie, or, you can have the adventure of a lifetime. Last week, I wrote about an incredible indoor skydiving arena, opening soon in New Jersey. You can learn more about that by clicking here. It’s sure to be a thrill, but it isn’t the only indoor thrill that the Garden State has to offer…
iPlay America is a giant indoor amusement park. How giant are we talking? Nearly 4 acres!
You'll find thrill rides (for kids and adults) including Dizzy Dragons, Skyscraper, and Freedom Rider (a roller coaster), in addition to Bumper Cars, Go Karts, Laser Tag, Mini-Bowling, and a 4D Theater.
And, of course, there's a massive arcade with over 200 video, skill, and crane games. More crane games than anywhere else in New Jersey, in fact. Arcade games include Skee-ball, Deal Or No Deal, and Ferrari Racing. Earn tickets to win prizes!
There are plenty of dining options, including a giant candy shop. For "real food" (in quotes because I think candy IS real food), head to Game Time Bar & Grill.
Technically, there are two! The Sky Trail High Ropes Course features a variety of obstacles to test your skills, like the rope bridges, zig-zag beams, cargo nets, walk-across beams, vertical rope ladders, and more. While you'll get the opportunity to challenge yourself, you can relax knowing that you're safely strapped in. There's also a second, smaller ropes course for younger children.
To learn more about the ropes course, check out the short video below:
You can find iPlay America at 110 Schanck Road, Freehold. Hours vary, so check out their calendar here. They generally open in the afternoon on weekdays and earlier in the morning on weekends, closing times range from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m..
