That’s the case for Weymouth Furnace, an abandoned furnace in New Jersey that was once part of the state’s rich industrial history. Today, it’s part of the Atlantic County Parks system, located in the rural area of Mays Landing in the southern part of the state. A quick, simple hike takes you to the ruins, which are an essential visit for those looking to explore the state’s history – and also feel more than a little eerie at times.
