There are some pretty impressive waterfalls in New Jersey. The Great Falls in Paterson is a personal favorite for its sheer magnitude but there’s one waterfall I enjoy even more. It’s hidden, peaceful and absolutely perfect.

Drive all over town and you'll never find it. There's no sign, no parking lot, but you will see a fairly new archway reading "Morris Canal Preserve."

Picturesque and easy to hike to, it’s hard not to love this little fall. Park along local roads (following local ordinances) and look for the entry to the Peckman Preserve across from the Valley National Bank on Main Street.
