Maybe the best hidden gem diner in NJ is the Salem Oak Diner, located in the least populated county in the entire state. It’s a long drive for many Garden State residents, located not far from the Delaware border, but it’s well worth the visit – because the Salem Oak Diner will transport you back in time to the 1950s. This is a diner that feels like it’s frozen in time in the best way possible, with authentic decor and features from the era and even a few regional specialties I couldn’t find anywhere else.
