It’s a chaotic place, and it’s where I grew up – and it still surprises me when I catch sight of Jose Tejas on a crowded stretch by two malls. This unique Tex-Mex restaurant in NJ is part of a small chain with six locations in NJ, Massachusetts, and Delaware, but this location really goes all out with the theme. Playing on the old west’s Mexican roots, it has the vibe of a raucous cantina where the margaritas flow freely, the specialties are massive plates of meat, and the party goes well into the night. Not only is the place a never-ending wild west party, but the colorful lights will draw in anyone who draws by. One thing is for sure – when Jose Tejas comes into view, it’s always the perfect time to stop and join the party.
