Many people don’t realize how good hiking is in New Jersey. There are mountain climbs that leave you gasping for air, more moderate forest hikes, and even plenty of easy ones that propel you toward an amazing view. File the Hidden Lake Trail, located near Manchester Township, in Hidden Lake, NJ under the latter. The Hidden Lake Trail is short and sweet — the appeal isn’t in conquering a climb, it’s in basking in the view of the stunningly gorgeous lake you reach on the trail. With its vibrant color and peaceful surroundings, it’s a destination worth hiking to.
The trail is deemed good for all skill levels and accessible all year. Just be wary — sometimes it can get wet and muddy if it’s been rainy recently.
