New Jersey has plenty of restaurants with amazing desserts (click here for one of my favorites) and you can always grab a sweet treat at a bakery, but there’s one eatery that offers even more. If you’re the type of person who orders dessert first, or always has room for dessert no matter how much you’ve eaten, Vanillamore is the perfect restaurant for you.
A newer addition to New Jersey's incredible dining scene, Vanillamore has an unassuming exterior that's easy enough to pass by in a bustling downtown.
With dessert charcuterie boards, dessert flights and dessert tapas, all your gourmet dessert dreams have come true. Just look at this spicy Aztec hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows, waiting to be mixed.
You can choose between vanilla and chocolate boards with a wide selection of treats, dessert kababs, and milk and cookies unlike anything you've ever had before. Or, you could just have it all...
The selection is seasonal, to ensure the freshest flavors, but you can always count on chocolate being available. I'm all about the Chocolate Obsession, complete with dark chocolate cake with almond cream and espresso caramel, a spicy chocolate ganache tartlet with hazelnuts and sea salt, and a chocolate chip cookie sandwich with fudge and malted milk. They even have suggested tea and coffee pairings.
Prefer fruity flavors? Try the winter citrus board with lemon thyme donuts in mixed berry puree, grapefruit & mint sorbet, and a burnt orange tartlet with almond cream and candied orange.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’ll certainly want to visit. Find Vanillamore Dessert Kitchen at 349 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair. They are open Tuesday-Sunday at 11 a.m., closing after 10 p.m. each night. If you’re down in South Jersey, discover some of New Jersey’s best pies by clicking here.
