The Tiny Chapel Situated On An Island In New Jersey Is Sure To Captivate You
There are many hidden gems in New Jersey, but few require a boat for access. However, there’s a charming chapel in the center of Kinnelon Lake that’s just begging to be seen. While the chapel is private (for the exclusive use of Smoke Rise community members), it is open to the public several days a year, and you won’t want to miss it. The next open house is in June, but you can take a virtual tour right now…
St. Hubert’s is open to Smoke Rise residents whenever the doors are open, and for special events (weddings, christenings, etc.). The chapel is open to the public on select dates, including June 23, July 7, August 17, and September 2, from 1-3. No boat? No problem. The chapel was the subject of a fascinating 40-minute documentary which you can watch (in whole or in part) below. Shared by the Kinnelon Heritage Conservation Society, you’ll enjoy an up-close look at the exterior and interior while learning all about area history.
