Who doesn’t love a good burger? I suppose there are some folks out there but if you’re reading this article, you’re probably not one of them. I’m a big ol’ burger lover, and I’m always on the hunt for the best. New Jersey has some amazing burgers (check out the sliders at White Manna) but sometimes it’s not just the burger, it’s the atmosphere – this charming spot offers the best of both worlds.
The Barn in Wyckoff provides patrons with the perfect mix of mouthwatering menu items and ambiance.
Driving down Sicomac Avenue, you'll come across home after home - it's easy to miss this rustic structure set back from the road. Built in 1779 as a dairy barn, the building was converted in 1929. It was used as a speakeasy during Prohibition and now operates as one of the best darn burger joints in New Jersey.
The bar is built from an old farm wagon and still stands today with its original farm wheels. Another unique bit of history? For decades, customers (mainly couples) have carved their initials into the booths and walls. Perhaps you've got your initials somewhere in this structure?
With wood everywhere, the interior is warm and welcoming.
There's a wonderful blend of old farm equipment and vintage sports memorabilia. I just love the inviting vibes of this low key space. It's family friendly and a perfect place to relax, or catch a game.
Their Barn Burger was ranked among the best in New Jersey. It comes topped with bacon, sauteed onions, cheddar cheese, and zesty BBQ sauce. A delectable delight, it isn't the only delicious burger on the menu. The Mexican Burger is a favorite, topped with raw onion, cheddar cheese, jalapeno peppers, and salsa. Vegetarian options are also available and all burgers are served with fries, lettuce, tomato, and your choice of roll or sliced pumpernickel.

You'll want to check out the rest of the menu, too.
They're also pretty famous for their barbecue ribs - they fall right off the bone. The rest of the menu is a diverse mix of cuisines - you'll find everything from chicken taquitos to fusilli primavera to crab cakes. Dessert options include chocolate cake, key lime pie, and crumb apple pie ala mode. If you're in the mood for drinks, there's plenty of beer and wine to choose from.
You can find The Barn at 359 Sicomac Ave., Wyckoff. They are open Tuesday-Sunday for dinner, for more details, visit their website by clicking here. Have you been to The Barn before? Where’s your favorite burger in New Jersey served?
