Bovella’s is a traditional Italian bakery and pastry shop that’s been a Garden State staple for 70 years. A local favorite, it offers two locations – one in Westfield and one in Mountainside. Serving all sorts of sweet treats, this family-owned eatery is a New Jersey gem.
Bovella's may not be a household name across the state just yet but over 30,000 locals have taken enough interest to follow the page on Facebook...that's kind of a big deal.
This creative concoction consists of vanilla sponge cake layers soaked in Bailey's Irish Cream, a layer of whipped topping with chocolate chips, and Bailey's mousse to finish it all off. The treat is served in a small cup that's entirely edible - it's a house-made chocolate shell!

Of course there's plenty more. Chocolate lovers will enjoy flour-less chocolate tarts (pictured), chocolate tiramisu cupcakes, fudge balls, brownies, and chocolate cheesecake.
We're also enamored with their selection of mini-desserts, perfect for a little treat. Pair them with one of their lattes, macchiatos, or other coffee beverages.
Bovella's is also known for their cookies. You'll find a wide selection including rainbow cookies, macaroons, lemon drops, Italian chocolate chips, Italian fig cookies, biscotti, and more.
The bakery's Mountainside location also offers a cafe serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch. The menu includes soups, salads, sandwiches, frittatas, French toast, pancakes, pizza, and plenty more.
