If you like fun, games, and food, we have the perfect destination for you. We only have a handful of board game cafes in the Garden State, and this spot is one of the best. It has garnered rave reviews and you’ll want to see why…
Aether Game cafe is a family friendly destination that entertains guests of all ages. Bring friends, a date, or all the kids - everyone can enjoy it!
Here's how it works... You pay a nominal cover fee to get in, granting you access to a library of over 300 games. There's a wide variety, suited for players aged 4 and up.
You'll have hours of fun playing board and card games including Monopoly, Connect 4, Settlers Of Catan, Pandemic, Captain Sonar, Life, Taboo, Terraforming Mars, Dream Home, Road Hog, Path, Rick & Morty: Total Ricall, and many more.
There are frequent events and tournaments for games like Magic the Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh! Bring friends or, if you're new to the area, make new ones at one of their many meetup groups or community game nights.
But this isn't just a place to game, it's a place to drink and dine. You'll find artisan coffee, single origin tea, and a modest menu that pairs perfectly with the playful, laid-back environment.
You'll find sandwiches like peanut butter & jelly, grilled cheese, a Thai tuna melt, and more. There are also pizza bagels, smoothies (including vegan options), shakes, bagels, muffins, and other easy-to-eat favorites.
Aether Game Cafe is an absolute blast and is easily found at 519 Washington Street in Hoboken. It is open from noon to 11 p.m. daily, closing at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Kids will love cookies and Candyland, big kids (also known as adults) will delight in Big Boggle and brisket sammies (sandwiches…). There’s truly something for everyone.
