Princeton is a foodie town, with all sorts of restaurants, from historic long-standing legends to newer, modern bistros. One spot that’s considered a local secret is Small Bites by Local Greek. This tiny cafe serves up delicious Greek food, and it’s also home to some of the best small-batch ice cream in the state. Stop in to try the most creative flavors in the state! Each flavor is made by hand, the old-fashioned way, with all-natural ingredients and no preservatives. Does it get any sweeter than that?
This little hole-in-the-wall hiding between the giants of Nassau Street is easy to miss, but if you consider yourself a foodie, you'll want to stop in.
If you come by for lunch or dinner, make sure you save room for dessert because New Jersey's sweetest treat is the greek-style, freshly made, small-batch ice cream served and sold exclusively at Local Greek.
This isn't your typical mint chocolate chip or rocky road parlor. Each flavor is made in small batches and inspired by the maker's experiences growing up in Greece!
Flavors like Baklava and Cherry Zeus are constants on the menu, but ice cream creator Elios Papa works hard to imagine new concoctions and flavors that change with the seasons. Last summer, there was rose-flavored ice cream offered, and it was out-of-this-world good.
Stop in to try a few scoops when you're spending time in one of New Jersey's most charming cities and you won't want to leave until every last lick is gone.
If you're not particularly adventurous, rest assured that there are more familiar flavors like cookies and cream, dark chocolate, and vanilla bean on the menu most of the time, and each one is packed with flavor.
Greek Cream may be the most unexpected culinary discovery of the year! Don't let another week go by without a visit to Princeton to try a scoop of this unique Greek-style ice cream in New Jersey.
