This Just Might Be The Most Beautiful Hike In All Of New Jersey
While I’m not a HUGE hiking fan, I do love a good view and I’ll do what it takes to get there. Sometimes, that means taking on challenging trails. It has to be something pretty great for me to manage more than 3 miles, or engage in any significant vertical climbing. Of course, for one of the most amazing views in New Jersey, I’ll lace up my hiking boots and bring loads of water…
The trail is difficult but worth it. With over 8 miles to cover and some steep inclines, you can expect a 6-7 hour journey. Pack a picnic and make an adventure out of it! You’ll begin at the GREEN (Otter Hole) Trail, hop onto the BLUE (Hewitt-Butler) Trail, and follow the YELLOW (Carris Hill) Trail towards Chikahoki Falls. It’s quite a trek and NJHiking.com details it in depth here. Find step by step instructions, photos, tips, and more! To preview the trail, you can watch their short video below:
