A Drone Flew Over Atlantic City In New Jersey And Captured Mesmerizing Footage
Mesmerizing is defined as capturing one’s complete attention. This drone footage did just that. Atlantic City, New Jersey is one of the top travel destinations in the United States, bringing in around 30 MILLION tourists each year. People visit for conventions, parties, concerts, beautiful beaches, outlet shopping, bustling nightlife, and the thrill of gambling. With an abundance of indoor and outdoor activities, it’s busy all year long.
In this drone footage, you’ll see Atlantic City in a whole new way…nearly empty. Taken in April, there are a handful of people on the beach but parking decks are empty and the boardwalk appears abandoned. Watching this video, I have mixed emotions. It’s sad to see something so vibrant, so alive, to be so desolate. It’s also encouraging to see people staying safe at home. But most of all, I feel proud. I’m proud that I get to call this beautiful state home.
Crowds or not, Atlantic City is something special. There’s nothing quite like it! While some may say its a second rate Las Vegas, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Atlantic City offers endless entertainment, incredible restaurants, world-class spas, museums, aquariums, lively casinos, luxurious hotels, AND a beach. Then, there’s the boardwalk… What’s not to love? Is Atlantic City perfect? No. But it is ours, and I wouldn’t trade it for Las Vegas, or any other city.
What do you think of this footage? Does it have you missing the shore? If so, check out these beach sunrise and sunset cameras. They’re not quite the same but they’re still a nice (short term) substitute.
