New Jersey's Newest Beer Garden Is At An Aquarium And You'll Really Want To Sea It
New Jersey has quite the craft beer scene and just when you start to think it can’t possibly get any better…it does. A brand new beer garden is open this summer only, though we’re hoping it will be back. It’s right on the water and all-around wonderful.

Based out of Somerdale they offer tours and a tasting room. They were the first microbrewery in South Jersey and are now the largest of the 100+ craft breweries in the state. Flying Fish beers are ten-time medal winners at the Great American Beer Festival, the most of any New Jersey brewery.

It features unique exhibits with more than 15,000 aquatic species living in a whopping two million gallons of water. The Aquarium is home to the largest collection of sharks on the East Coast, including the only great hammerhead shark on exhibit in the country, the only aquarium in the world to exhibit hippos, one of only six facilities in the US to have Little Blue penguins as permanent residents, and it is home to the longest Shark Bridge in the world. That's a lot of awesomeness in one place.

But there are also evening events around happy hour that are 21+. Each Sips Undersea has a theme - the August 22nd event will be Pints & Penguins. Get up close and personal with penguins while you enjoy a pint!

They created a craft beer to commemorate the occasion - Watermelon Splash. The ale is inspired by the aquarium hippos (Genny & Button) favorite snack. It's a light, refreshing wheat beer with a sweet watermelon flavor.
The beer garden is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. between May 24 – September 2 and weekends-only from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. between September 7 – October 27. Address: 1 Riverside Drive, Camden, NJ, 08103. To discover more of the best breweries in New Jersey, click here.
