New Jersey is home to an abundance of amazing antique shops, many of which are housed in historic or repurposed buildings. There are quite a few barn antique shops… One of our favorites is a charming shore spot that used to be a garage. You can still see a bit of the past in its present.
The West End Garage is a can't-miss shopping destination in Cape May. To visit is an experience, and the shop has won numerous awards.
Home to dozens of vendors, this isn't your average antique shop. Why? Because you'll also find a cooperative gallery, modern art, specialty foods, wine, and brand new locally made goods.
As you stroll indoors from store to store, you'll notice the interior is impeccably designed. It's just so fun, fascinating, and welcoming. Vendors include Cape May Honey Farm, Cape May Glass, Patricia Jackson Jewelers, and The Wood Shoppe.
Vintage vendors include Queen May (pre-loved designer accessories), Green Monkey Vintage (Vintage Baubles, Garden & Home), Eastcote Lane (vintage furniture), One More Time (home furnishings and accessories), and Nonnie's Attic (if you've got a super cool grandmother, this is probably her attic). This store takes you back to the 50's, 60's and 70's with kitchen items, furniture, pottery, upcycled décor and loads of collectibles.
This place is a gift shopper's paradise, and that includes the gifts we buy ourselves. (We deserve them!) There's something for everyone, regardless of age or interests. Voted Best of the Shore by Philadelphia magazine, they wrote, "the West End Garage concentrates a day of plodding into one delightfully efficient stop."
We absolutely agree! It’s so much fun to browse their beautiful wares. Find The West End Garage at 484 W Perry Street, Cape May. For other fantastic antique shops in New Jersey, check out this antiques road trip.
