If you love antiquing, New Jersey is the place to be. All throughout the state, you’ll find little shops overflowing with vintage treasures. From home decor to unique gifts, there’s a store that has just what you’re looking for. While antique shops are scattered about everywhere you go, some towns have a wide selection to choose from, making them perfect antiquing destinations. In the past, I’ve covered Cape May, Lambertville, Andover, and more. Today, I’m focusing on the lovely little town of Red Bank.
A bustling Monmouth County destination, Red Bank sits on under 2 miles of land along the Navesink River.
It is home to about 12,000 residents, an abundance of restaurants, and some incredible shops. It also has a thriving art scene, amazing arcade, famous comic book store, and more. It was even named one of the coolest little towns in America by Smithsonian Magazine. Another one of its perks? Plentiful antiquing options. Read on to discover a few favorites.
Stillwell House Fine Art & Antiques - 212 West Front Street
Focused on fine art, this shop is open daily from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., or by appointment. In 2011 they sold the Estate of the famous American Artist Leon Dabo (1864-1960), an event so newsworthy that it was covered in the New York Times with nearly a full page article. In addition to art, you'll find beautifully crafted antique furniture. This upscale shop is perfect for the buyer with refined tastes.
