New Jersey is known for its incredible dining scene, so it’s no surprise that many of our restaurants are celeb favorites or have gotten major media attention. Several of our most spectacular eateries were featured on the hit culinary show “Parts Unknown.” Hosted by New Jersey’s own Anthony Bourdain, a food trail was established in his honor following his passing. It highlights several of Mr. Bourdain’s favorite Garden State restaurants, all highlighted on his show. Today, we’re taking you on a delectable journey along that trail…

This counter-serve joint has been serving up deep fried hot dogs for over 80 years! Grab a Yoo-Hoo (invented in New Jersey!) or a budget-friendly beer to go with your meal.
Frank's is a family-owned, cash-only luncheonette serving pork roll, egg creams & other Jersey staples. Be sure to try an overstuffed sandwich while you're here. Located near the beach in one of my favorite foodie towns, it can't be missed.

Lucille's Country Cooking - 1496 Main Street, Barnegat
Dock's dates back to 1897 and features an elegant dining room with nightly piano music. The upscale spot has amazing oysters, but you'll also want to try the fried calamari and jumbo fried shrimp.
Zagat called this eatery an "Atlantic City institution." A popular late night spot for pizza and Italian comfort food, it has been around since 1927. The bar is open 24/7, the drinks are affordable, and there's a jukebox to dance along to.
James' Confections, Fralinger's Salt Water Taffy & Bayard's Chocolates - Boardwalk, Atlantic City
Don't miss the steak and seafood at this 1912 landmark. They've got somewhat of a seedy history but that only adds to what makes them an icon. As they say on their website, "Nucky ate here. Shouldn't you?"
Established in 1943, this spot has a small (but mighty) menu. Many food critics (including Anthony Bourdain) think the cheesesteaks here are even better than the ones they've got in Philly!
Tony & Ruth's Steaks - 837 North 8th Street, Camden
Mr. Bourdain feels the cheesesteaks here give Donkey's a run for their money. You'll have to decide for yourself! Open from 7:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Monday-Saturday (closed Sunday), some call this little spot Camden's hidden gem. While it very well may be, it's not in the best part of town. Though that may scare some away, not Anthony...he's eaten both bugs and (warthog) butt.
