Pork Roll, also known as Taylor Ham in the northern part of the state, is a New Jersey staple. We typically pair it with egg and cheese on a hard roll for breakfast (or lunch) but it goes well with almost anything. The Garden State’s very own spiced meat, it’s a magnificent treat, and it deserves to be celebrated. Lucky for us, New Jersey is home to TWO competing pork roll festivals, both taking place on the same day.
The hardest choice is deciding which festival to attend. Perhaps both? Do you have a favorite? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments, and let us know if you call it Pork Roll or Taylor Ham. For more on the Pork Roll/Taylor Ham debate, click here.
