When temperatures climb, it’s time to find a water park where you can splash, play, and cool off. Do you remember splashing in the pool and daring your friends to brave the steepest waterslide at the water park when you were a kid? It’s time to relive to that care-free summer fun, and here’s an old-school spot that will take you right back to your childhood.
Welcome to Whale's Tale Waterpark! This place got its start more than 30 years ago, so if you grew up here in New Hampshire, you probably remember visiting as a kid. It's still just as awesome as it was back then!

There's so much to do here that you'll want to make sure you arrive right when it opens at 10 a.m. When you walk through the doors, head right to Castaway Cove to claim your lounge chair.
This 17-acre park offers plenty of shady, green spaces and incredible mountain views. You can bring your own beach chair or beach blanket and find a shady spot where you can hang out to rest in between all your fun in the sun.
Willie's Wild Wave pool is a classic that everyone loves. Grab an inner tube and float your cares away in this pool that has waves just like the ocean! The zero-depth entry makes it perfect for little ones who just want to wade.
Unwind on the 1/4-mile Jonah's Escape Lazy River. Float along as you make your way down the river - you can relax as the current carries you as long as you want.
Shipwreck Island is the perfect place if you want to cool off quickly. With all the sprinklers and water features, you'll definitely get soaked. Every so often, you'll get hit with a huge barrage of water flowing from the pirate ship at the top.
The park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during peak season from June 22 through August 25th. Save $5 on admission by buying tickets in advance online.
