Nature in New Hampshire is unlike nature anywhere else. From mountains to forests, to the small but mighty coast, this is a great state for getting outside. There are lots of unfussy ways to do it. But these days we’re loving the ones that require a bit more planning. This canopy tours, located in the White Mountains, is a great example.
Located in the heart of the White Mountains, the Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods has become an unrecognizable part of the New Hampshire landscape. It's a great place to stay overnight, but it's also the perfect base for enjoying activities in the area.
The Bretton Woods Canopy Tour is a great option for those who want to minimize their impact on the environment. The operation is completely sustainable. A part of this is making sure their tree platforms are made of wood that's been locally harvested and than any wood used can be regenerated easily.
The fun begins at the Bretton Woods Canopy Tour base camp where visitors are outfitted with safety gear and taught how to enjoy the tour safely. With two guides per group, there's constant support.
The Bretton Woods Canopy Tours last about three hours and take place every day. Tours are small and limited to eight people. Visitors must be 4’6″ tall and weigh between 90 and 250 pounds. To learn more about participating check out their website. You can book your tour here. There are lots more photos of Bretton Woods on Facebook, too! They can be reached on 603-278-4947.
