New Hampshire has many wonderful qualities – but no one can claim it’s tropical. Even in the height of summer, it’s easy to fantasize about the crystal waters of the Caribbean, and perhaps more importantly about time away from work and daily responsibilities, with not a care in the world. An exotic vacation may not be in the cards for you right now, but you can get indulge your daydream on one of the most unique outings in New Hampshire – a cruise on a floating tiki hut .
The Tiki Hut Boats of NH company was founded in 2017, with the intention of selling the boats – but this year they went in a different direction and started offering tours and charters on Lake Winnipesaukee, departing from Weirs Beach. You can book a spot on a 90-minute public cruise (departing every two hours) or book a private tour for a small group.
Underneath it all, they're motorboats – complete with an outboard and steering wheel – just with a few extra trappings. But don't worry, you won't be speeding around recklessly – the tiki boats cruise around 4-6 miles per hour.
