Every season is a great one for exploring the great outdoors. Between the lakes, the forests, the beaches and the views, there’s no better place to calm the nerves and get back to yourself. One of our favorite features to help us do that is a waterfall. If you’re looking for the best waterfalls in New Hampshire, we’ve got a simple solution. Head to Coos Count where you’ll find the most!
This waterfall is a favorite among ATV-ers. There's one trail that leads straight to the viewing point. If you prefer to travel by foot, there's also a fun hike to take you there. No matter how you arrive, the 60-foot drop is beautiful. Try to plan your visit between May and October when the water is at its strongest.
While not one of the largest waterfalls in the region, we love this waterfall for its beauty. It's fed by the East Branch of the Dead Diamond River and ultimately leads to some gorgeous rapids down the river. Be sure to look out for the set of cascades that appear beneath the main portion of the falls.
The strength of the small waterfall here will depend on the weather and the season, but it almost doesn't matter when you see the crystal-clear pool it flows into. It's great in the summer for swimming, but don't avoid it in other seasons. It's gorgeous year-round.

4. Crystal Cascade, Pinkham Notch
Crystal Cascades, Tuckerman Ravine Trail, Jackson, NH 03846, USA
This beauty is one of the most impressive in the state! Crystal Cascade has a 100-foot drop and roars with noise letting you know it's around the corner before you've even arrived. For a fun day, take the Tuckerman’s Ravine Trail to reach it just off the trail.
Beaver Brook Falls has a lot to offer. First, we love that it's accessible. You can see it right from your car in the parking lot. Of course, if you'd like to see it up close you can walk along a small trail from the parking lot. Either way, the 80-foot cascade is gorgeous no matter what the season. It's a fun day trip, too.
For the best views of Giant Falls you'll want to make sure to visit multiple times throughout the year. Every season offers something unique. The drop here is 80 feet, making it an impressive sight to see any time of year. See it in the spring when the snow is melting or after a heavy period of rain and you're just about guaranteed rushing water. Take the Peabody Brook Trail to find it.
Tiny, but mighty is what we like to say about this one! The 20-foot drop might not impress those who have seen some of the larger waterfalls in New Hampshire, but when it's warm outside the swimming hole here can't be missed.
While you won't find a cascading drop here, you will find a beautiful babbling brook of a waterfall ready to calm your nerves. This one can be found in the Ammonoosuc River and can be reached via a short hike in the White Mountains.
What are some of your favorite waterfalls? Did we miss any on this list? Let us know in the comments.
