The weather is warm, the sun is shining, and there’s no better way to soak up the summer in New Hampshire than by hitting the river. You can certainly find a place to enjoy the banks with a quick dip, but if you’re really going to make the most of it we recommend a river tubing trip. Frequently long and leisurely, these are great for people who appreciate the landscape of the state and want to relax with friends and family. This outfitter, located in Conway, will make sure you’ve got everything you need!
Saco Bound Outfitters in Conway runs a variety of river trips on the beautiful Saco River and it's one of the best ways to enjoy a warm day in New Hampshire.
We love any activity on the river, but the ease of tubing makes it a great way to spend the day relaxing. Saco Bound offers three different tubing trips and each one includes a shuttle to and from your starting point.
The longest trip is the four-hour Redstone to Saco Bound route. This one allows visitors to tube to their car by shuttling to the starting point and ending at the rental center. The route included here is smooth, but also features a few small rapids. There are also lots of places to stop to enjoy some beach time.
The three-hour Saco Bound to Weston's Beach route is the most popular trip option. With a mild current and a few swimming holes and beaches along the way, this is a great choice for families.
At the end of the trip you'll be at Weston's Beach which is a great place to enjoy the rest of the day. The shuttle runs back and forth about once an hour, so choose your time to relax and head back when you're ready.
Each trip is different, making Saco Bound a great place to return to throughout the summer.
Enjoy the tubing trips and then tackle the kayaking, rafting or even a combination overnight trip. Whichever you choose, this is a great way to remember just why you love New Hampshire so much!
