Like it or not, summer is slipping away before our eyes. With only a couple of short weeks before the kids return to school, make sure you make the most of the season and time together as a family. We know how it is – you get swept away in the daily necessities of life, and suddenly the season is ending without much to show for it. But it doesn’t have to be that way! This incredible New Hampshire excursion to a gorgeous waterfall off the Kancamagus Highway is quick, doable for the whole family, and immensely rewarding.
Sabbaday Falls is one of the most popular waterfalls in New Hampshire, and for good reason. It's an easy walk of about a quarter mile to get to the falls, and once you do you'll be rewarded with a real stunner.
The trees and greenery growing around the falls make it absolutely magical – the light has a tendency to shine just perfectly to make you feel like you're in an elven woodland.
Walking along, you'll be stunned by the magnificent power of nature. Informational signs along the way will tell you all about how the falls were formed, so it's an educational experience for your whole family!
One of the coolest parts of the hike is walking over a dramatic bridge over the falls. Your kids might be a little nervous at first, but once they get past their fear they'll love it!
While there are stairs up to the top of the falls, there's also a handicapped accessible path that takes you to a great viewing spot, so all members of your family can enjoy the beauty of the falls.
