New Hampshire is a quaint New England state with beautiful natural areas, beach towns, and historic sights to be discovered. Here are a few fun things to do in New Hampshire for the next time you visit:

  • Take a day trip to the Isles of Shoals: Hop on a ferry that travels through Portsmouth Harbor to Star Island on the New Hampshire side of the Shoals. Along the way, you'll enjoy historic lighthouses and perhaps seals basking in the sun on the warm rocks. On Star Island enjoy lovely sand and rocky beaches, walk along grassy seaside knolls, hop in a kayak and explore the coast, or tour the charming town on the island.
  • Check out the historic Sulphite Covered Bridge: More commonly called the Upside Down Covered Bridge because trains would travel on top of the bridge rather than through it. This unique bridge sits above the Winnipesaukee River near the charming district of Franklin Falls, NH. The Sulphite Covered Bridge got its official name because it was traveled over by the Maine Boston and Maine Railroad to transport sulfur to paper and pulp mills.
  • Explore Hampton Beach: Hampton Beach is a picturesque beach town in New Hampshire that is a popular tourist destination. As a beach town, you can enjoy the iconic boardwalk with cute shops, restaurants, and plenty of fun things to see and do. If you are up for a more spooky activity, check out Island Path Road - it is reported to be haunted by the ghost of Eunice "Goody" Cole - who was believed to be a witch that cursed sailors.
