There are 93 state parks in New Hampshire and each one offers beautiful views and fun activities. From lake swimming and boating to mountain climbs, there’s something for every skill level and interest. But, these days we’re looking for spots that aren’t crowded where we can find some peace, quiet and some social-distance. This one, located in Washington, is lesser-know but offers some of the most magnificent landscapes in the state!
Pillsbury State Park is open year-round, but during the off-season, it’s not staffed and restrooms may be closed. During this time, if conditions are considered dangerous, the gate will be closed so be sure to call ahead if you’d like to visit. Entry for adults is $4 and kids 6-11 are $2. Campgrounds are also available from mid-June through Columbus Day 2020 for a fee. You can learn more about it on the official New Hampshire State Parks website or you can give them a call on 603-863-2860.
