Sure, you can buy strawberries at the grocery store all year – but why bother? Out of season strawberries are pale, tasteless, and overpriced. Fresh strawberries straight from the field, on the other hand, are one of the best edible experiences you’ll ever have. And we think they taste even better when you’ve picked them yourself. Strawberry season in New Hampshire typically starts in mid-June, so the time (and fruit) is nearly ripe for picking. Check out these 7 farms (listed in no particular order) for a great family activity. Just be sure to call ahead to check their hours and for when the strawberries are ripe!
