There are a ton of hidden and beautiful regions of New Hampshire. For a state our size, we’re absolutely teeming with places to get away and gain some peace of mind. When the weather is warm, these places become even more explorable. This wilderness area offers some of the most remote views in the state. Outdoors lovers will find it to be the perfect escape.
The Pemigewasset Wilderness Area in Lincoln is a region within the White Mountain National Forest comprising about 45,000 acres of land.
And here’s a fun fact! There are some places within the Pemigewasset Wilderness Area that are considered to be as far away from an actual road in New Hampshire that you can get.
But, because nature is amazing, the forest has come back creating a space for us to enjoy the outdoors by hiking, walking or just enjoying the fresh air.
A great way to enjoy the area is to plan for an overnight camping trip. But, if you're just looking to spend the day there are a number of great trails to enjoy.
The Pemigewasset Wilderness can be accessed at any time of year, but always be careful when hiking. Be sure to let someone know where you’re going and take precautions on any outing.
